The Newsday TV Book Collection Sub-Archiving.

That's a fancy way of saying I added a more comprehensive list of my ol' Newsday TV Books to my "archive" post. I have a hard copy, of course--we mental patients love a paper trail--but I wanted the list on here so I could refer to it more easily (like during those rare occasions when I'm not sequestered in my Nerd Room, on my phone scouring eBay for new acquisitions).

Once I decided to add the list, I realized that I could include links to my write-ups of individual issues. This indexing doesn't work for the early years of my collection because I didn't list those by issue. Maybe I'll remedy this at some point, but holy smokes that's a whole 'nother undertaking, as most of the issues featured in posts on this blog are from those years. In case you haven't noticed (and you haven't), there's a LOT.

So you don't have to go digging down in the archive post, here is just the newly-revised portion.

[Find links to specific 1972-1975 issues HERE]

1972: Begins with the issue for 4/9-15 (which is the first one--and I have two copies!) and runs the rest of the year, lacking only Sep 10-16, with nine doubles.
1973:
Entire year, missing only Dec 16-22 (of COURSE it had to be an almost-Christmas issue!), eight doubles.
1974:
Five shy of the entire year: I need Jan 27-Feb 2; Feb 10-16; Apr 14-20; Apr 21-27; and May 12-18.
1975:
I just have January and February, the last issue ending March 1st.

[From here on out it's easier to list what I have, not what I need.
I had highlighted the dozen or so instances of consecutive issue runs, but I found it visually chaotic so it got kiboshed. I stuck in arrows instead.]

1976: Just one stinking issue: Feb 8-14.
1977: I have thirteen issues: Jan 30-Feb 5; Feb 13-19; Mar 6-12; Mar 27-Apr 2; May 22-28; Jul 31-Aug 6; Aug 28-Sep 3; Sep 25-Oct 1; and then a spectacular five-issue run from post-Thanksgiving (Nov 27) to New Year's Eve. Here's a look at part of the Christmas issue.
1978: A dozen issues: Feb 5-11; Apr 9-15; Jun 11-17; Jun 25-Jul 1; Jul 30-Aug 5; Sep 17-23; Nov 5-11; Nov 19-25;➡Nov 26-Dec 2 (d);➡Dec 3-9; Dec 17-23.
1979: Feb 11-17; Mar 18-24; Apr 29-May 5; Jun 10-16;➡Jun 17-23;➡Jun 24-30 (d); Oct 7-13; Dec 30-Jan 5, 1980.
1980: Feb 24-Mar 1; Jul 13-19; Aug 10-16;➡Aug 17-23;➡Aug 24-30; Dec 21-27 (d).
1981: May 24-30;➡May 31-Jun 6; Jul 26-Aug 1; Aug 23-29; Sep 13-19; Dec 20-26.
1982: Jun 27-Jul 3; Dec 12-18.
1983: A whopping seventeen issues: Jan 23-29;➡Jan 30-Feb 5;➡Feb 6-12, Feb 27-Mar 5;➡Mar 6-12,➡Mar 13-19, Apr 10-16; Apr 24-30; May 15-21;➡May 22-28; Jul 24-30;➡Jul 31-Aug 6; Oct 30-Nov 5;➡Nov 6-12;➡Nov 13-19; Nov 27-Dec 3; Dec 24-30.
1984: Mar 25-31; May 6-12;➡May 13-19; Dec 23-29.
1985: Only the Christmas issue, Dec 22-28.

Any requests to see a particular issue covered in a post are welcomed,
just let me know which one and why...

Oh, and if you happen to have any Newsday TV Books from this period that you're looking to get rid of, by all means leave a comment, we'll work something out!
