From The "The More Things Change..." Department.

A full-page ad from the Christmas 1977 issue of TV Guide. Jerry Falwell begins a fight that will only become more desperate as the end times near. Funny, it doesn't mention liberals, just those darn godless commercialists...

  1. Note that only the first "Jesus First" pin is free, like he's some kind of evangelical drug dealer.

Strangely, I just received an awful forward about this very topic. (Maybe not strange: the outcry over the "War on Christmas" seems to be getting as big as Christmas itself!) The author equated being non-Christian with being atheist: "Stop this insanity of Atheism from gripping our Country." As if those two were the only options. But it was nice of her to capitalize "Atheism."

  2. I stitched the words "MERRY CHRISTMAS" on my leather bomber O'Reilly jacket so all those liberal terrorists can see that I mean business.

I'm my own spin zone, baby. It stops right here.

  3. Interesting...he sure wouldn't have any clout in the Republican party today if he had continued to bad mouth "commericalists".

I say put the X back into Christmas! I thought Racer X was way cool! God bless the Atheists!
