From 1975, an ad for "Jerry and Lisa: Christmas Lost & Found." Jerry Sroka and Lisa Wilkinson star in a "musical fantasy about two enchanted clowns too poor to buy each other gifts." Sounds appalling.
Actually, it was a delightful program, of higher quality of some of the crap that passes as holiday fare today. I've been trying to find the lyrics to their New York City-centric "12 Days of Christmas"(Which includes references to soft pretzels, egg creams, and "a guard dog to keep me company). I think it aired only once in the days before VCRs.
If anyone out there knows whether it still exists in the archives of WCBS-TV New York, I'd love to know.
How random is this?! I wrote and directed that show for WCBS and stumbled onto this post because I'm jotting down some memories of my TV career. I probably can find those lyrics if you're still interested.
